Hugo and I were the two 'mature (sort of) students' in our year at Camborne School of Mines, both in our mid 20's and married, so we were good mates and sat together in lectures for three years. After graduation we all scattered far and wide but by the miracle of the internet we reconnected in the last few years and caught up on each other's lives, jobs, failures and boats. My Facebook photos invariably earned a comment from Hugo which would lead to some good old back and forth. The photos and comments are still there and in a small way Hugo lives on for us.
